Back again with more cakes!

Hiya guys!! I'm back again! I've been away for far too long so I decided I'd do a compilation kind of blog and update you with all the things I've been baking and all my grand plans for the future! :D

First off a fair few months ago I made rainbow cupcakes with Little L at my house! And even though she kept telling me I'd put enough flour in, despite the fact it needed much more, we persevered and managed to make some edible rainbow cakes! Even if Little L did only want to eat the butter-cream sky and clouds!

Already to go in the oven!

The blue butter-cream is the sky and the white butter-cream is clouds!

Bye Bye cakeys!!

Ok, maybe just one for me.. hehe!
MAGIC!!
Yummy! These went down a treat at school! I had people arguing over them and begging me to bake more :D

My next endeavor into the crazy world of cupcakes were "Sweeney Todd Surprise" cupcakes! The deliciously creepy creations were made from vanilla cake, marzipan, butter-cream and raspberry sauce! Yum Yum!
Lots of evil little creations!
It might look hellish, but it tastes heavenly!
Next up in this barrage of information, is a giant cake for a Halloween cake competition, and I won!
Everything you see is edible!!
Stay with me guys I'm almost done! The next cake I made was a birthday cake for one of our beloved beaters George, who always fetched me a new paper clipping everytime I saw him, so I made this for him and all the other beaters.
Next up is my gorgeous baby cousin Celyns first birthday cake! Which was only last month, so Happy belated Birthday little 'un!
and last but not least are the cakes I made in the last few days so here they are!
Strawberry Shortcake!

Awh :'3

Mmm nice fresh victoria sponge!

Super zesty lemon meringue cupcakes!
Thanks for hanging in there guys! I know I blagged the blog! But anyway tell me what you think! and if you'd like to try any of these, tell me in the comments as I'm hoping to set up my own website to sell cupcakes! Hope you enjoyed :)

First Timer

Last night was Little L's first time trick or treating. It was also the first time we have put up our Halloween decorations since she was born as the boys have sort of grown out of it.  We didn't put them all out as she was frightened by some of the things, spiders and body parts mainly. Little L was so excited all day and had her costume ready first thing in the morning. Here she is in her Sully suit ( which was actually my youngest boy's first trick or treating outfit ).

She really enjoyed herself although there were a couple of houses that she didn't want to get to close to as she thought the Halloween decorations were too scary. One house had a life size animated figure by the door, that really scared her and she didn't stop talking about it all night. To be honest I wasn't that keen on it myself. As soon as we were home she started discussing what she would like to be next year, so far it's a werewolf.

BOO

Happy Halloween and welcome to Bits and Bobs.

Today was my little girl's first time scooping out a pumpkin. Needless to say things got more than a tad messy but both her and the boys enjoyed it. They get passed to the husband then for carving.

Finished pumpkins ready to greet Trick or Treaters.

This year I thought I'd try a recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds. Usually they end up in the bin anyway so I had nothing to lose. It didn't turn out to be the great success I hoped for so they ended up at their usual final destination - the bin.

The boys went off trick or treating. Little girl is too young yet but she loved handing sweets out to the children who came to our house. I'm sure they have multiplied in number this year as we seem to be going through the sweet supply pretty fast- ( I only helped myself to 4 then I thought they were going to pull my old teeth out so stopped ). Anyway I better go and get ready for another knock.

Bye Shell
